Frozen music – Yakushiji temple
Yakushiji temple is famous for twin pagodas.
The one, East Pagoda was described as “Frozen Music” by Earnest F. Fenollosa.
Its beauty and rhythmically appearance gave him this impression.
He was an American professor of philosophy of Tokyo University and also researcher of Japanese fine arts.
